While the Honor 7X doesn't offer the greatest battery or cameras among budget smartphones, its 18:9 display, all-metal design and solid performance make it an excellent alternative to the Moto G5 Plus, and it sells for ₹2000 less.●●FULL DETAILED REVIEW●●👉DESIGN፨Stealthy matte aluminum body፨Curved edges and sloping 2.5D glass፨Premium-feeling for the price፨Very easy to hold and use in one hand👉SCREEN፨5.9-inch, 2160 x 1080, LCD screen፨18:9 Aspect ratio፨Solid contrast and good visibility from multiple angles👉CAMERA፨Dual-camera setup here consists of a 16-megapixel main sensor with an f/2.2 lens, and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor.፨The extra sensor is simply there for gathering data for the wide-aperture mode.፨Front 8-MP camera, featuring gesture control so you can trigger the shutter simply by turning your hand፨Pictures in good light are fine, but things feel very artificial at night.፨Honor's Portrait Mode appears to be tied to basic object recognition፨7X features a more aggressive depth-of-field effect that blends the background evenly👉BATTERY LIFE፨9 hours and 21 minutes (which consists of endlessly streaming webpages)፨There’s a 3340mAh battery that keep the Honor 7X running all day፨Lack of fast-charging is a sore point.፨31 percent in 30 minutes connected to the packaged adapter.፨7X is still using Micro USB፨No NFC on this phone, so no chance of using it for mobile payments.👉PERFORMNCE፨Kirin 659 CPU፨4GB of RAM፨64GB of internal storage.፨Honor 7X is tuned for efficiency rather than all-out power፨I’ve only been using the phone a few days, but it feels fast.፨You’re not going to mistake this for a flagship experience, but it’s perfectly adequate🔴B.O.T'S VERDICT፨No ₹12,999 smartphone is perfect, but the Honor 7X is a jack of all trades not a perfectionist.፨Get this phone if you're on a budget. While the Honor 7X doesn't offer the greatest battery or cameras among budget smartphones, its 18:9 display, all-metal design and solid performance make it an excellent alternative to the Moto G5 Plus, and it sells for ₹2000 less.፨The Honor 7x is one of the best big screen smartphones in the segment. It impresses most with its premium looks, ergonomic design, dual camera, stutter-free performance. But you cannot ignore the Mi Max 2 with its 6.4-inch screen and 5,300mAh battery is a better bet. However, it is bigger in size and can be a bit unmanageable with one hand🔴Thanks for reading Guys!. If you have any question or if you think I am wrong. Writing this review after using Honor 7x for ~ 1 week. Below, I have captured some basic observations about Honor 7x (+ positive, - negative, ~general) based on my usage experience:+ performance is excellent, didn't noticed any lags so far while using regular apps (news, trading apps, surfing, and basic games). It has octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor (4 x 2.36GHz Cortex-A53 cores + 4 x 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 cores) + 4 GB RAM which makes it fly!+ display is crisp and clear, color looks good. The 5.93 inch screen with a resolution of 1080x2160 pixels is excellent. It sports the new 18:9 aspect ratio which is super cool!+ touch is smooth, performance and multitasking is impressive.+ looks are premium and build quality is excellent, it is sleek, light weight and good to hold.+ camera is just above average. It has a 16MP + 2MP dual back camera and 8MP front facing camera (no front flash, so average selfies), though you it has the blur functionality. I have posted a large number of photos with default camera settings. You can judge yourself how they are.+ call quality is good, and the signal reception is decent.+ a back cover is provided, which is good. It will provide you sufficient support till a decent cover is available in retail.+ fingerprint scanner is quick, responsive and precise, and the placement is superb.+ wi-fi and blue-tooth connectivity are at par.+ no heating issues noticed while charging or regular usage, with extended usage you can slightly feel the bare back gets little warm, but can't feel anything with the cover on.+ this 32 GB variant has a usable free space of ~ 20 GB.- on the flip side, only single speaker and it sounds very average.- the charging time is relatively slower.- the OS, that is android v7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 skin looks outdated compared against others.- no earphones provided! Nobody uses the out-of-the-box earphones, still it is expected to be provided in the package.- no native video calling option available in the device which can leverage VoLTE. Though third party apps can be used for making video calls over internet.~ after initial boot, got a patch update of size 448 MB, which I believe are stability bug fixes.~ I haven't faced the screen flicker issue yet while playing YouTube, but as many are complaining about it, this definitely must be there and should be addressed. One thing I can tell, it must be a software issue which can be fixed with a patch release, so nothing to worry much hopefully.IMHO, considering things holistically, H7X is not far behind than its competitions. With its cool aspect ratio, sturdy build, and most importantly the price of H7X 32GB variant perfectly fits for those who are on tight budget or want it as a secondary phone. Overall, a worthy buy, value for money phone - one of the better options in under 15K segment. Go for it without second thought keeping in mind the limitations highlighted above, definitely an excellent product in its segment.Pictures are posted for reference, I hope this helps.
